Here’s a little brain dump for you today…
#1 – Can you believe It’s ALREADY September!!?? Tis the season for pumpkin spice, scarves, scarecrows, cool weather…and FOOTBALL! You’ll definitely want to invite a friend and wear your favorite football jersey THIS Sunday as we kick off a brand new series entitled, “Can’t Lose.”
#2 – I’m really pumped about the Circles Kickoff. Plan to stick around for just a few minutes after the service on Sunday, we would like to invite you to the Circles Kickoff where you’ll learn all about the available circles and opportunities to get connected at Oasis. We will end service a little early so that you’ll have time to check out your kids, and then join us for the Kickoff.
#3 – I’ve been drinking wayyy too much coffee lately. Somebody stop me!
#4 – We have the most incredible kids team on the planet. I know that sounds like hype. Ok, It is hype. But they are worth it because they really are the MOST INCREDIBLE KIDS TEAM ON THE PLANET!
#5 – Do you have a teenage daughter or son? Then you should send them with me to “Encounter.” It’s a winter retreat for grades 6-12 in Gastonia, NC on November 18-20. Email Jason (email@example.com) for more details.
#6 – I’m pretty bummed that most of the swimming pools are closing next week. Thanks to all of you who have been letting me sneak into your community pools under your name this summer…you know who you are! 😉
#7 – I’m still blown away at the fact that our church committed 502,000 “I owe you’s” to the Here For Good Project. That’s pretty incredible. What’s the next step? Let’s find some land! We are on the lookout for 6-10 acres in Holly Springs. If you happen to own some, let’s have coffee?
#8 – Been praying a lot lately for people I know who feel disconnected, lacking relationships, and wanting to have more meaningful friendships. Sometimes life throws us some weird seasons, I’m praying that God will help you to connect to some people in a meaningful way this month.
#9 – I’m planning to VLOG again soon! Me and Shonda are gonna take an adventure together next weekend, and I’ll be posting the videos to my Facebook page. Oh boy…
One final thought…
To all you who have contributed in some way to making Oasis a great church for the unchurched, for the community, and for the kids…thank you. You are making a real difference in peoples lives.
See you Sunday!
