Generation 1:9
What is Generation 1:9?
Generation 1:9 is an INCREDIBLE group of young people in Apex, NC who are courageously following Jesus. Since Generation 1:9 began in October of 2011, we’ve seen strong evidence of God moving in the lives of teens across our city. In just a few months, more than 30 students have committed their lives to Jesus and have been baptized!

What can I expect at Generation 1:9?
You can expect three things:
1. We will talk about Jesus.
At some point during the evening (usually after worship) we will preach about Jesus. This is our primary reason for gathering. We believe in the life, death burial and resurrection of JESUS. We are excited about Jesus. We recognize our need for Jesus. And we give our lives to Jesus. Everything we do at Generation 1:9 is all about Jesus. So the thing we look forward to the most is growing in our knowledge, understanding, and in our commitment to him.
2. We will worship Jesus.
At Generation 1:9, we are passionate about worship. From the outside, one might describe our worship experience as “crowded and loud.” But from our perspective, we are relentless in our pursuit of Jesus. We will sing, dance, laugh, cry, pray, and sing some more all for the fame of Jesus. Our band, Overflo, is managed and organized by some of the most talented teenagers in our city. They work hard to ensure that the worship experience at Generation 1:9 gives YOU the chance to connect with JESUS.
3. We will meet together in small groups…and talk about Jesus.
Have you noticed a trend yet? Everything we do is about Jesus. Small groups normally begin after about an hour of heart-pounding worship and an insightful, challenging message. In our small groups we get to know one another, pray for each another, encourage each other, discuss the message, and figure out how everything we’ve learned applies to our lives throughout the week.
